Favorite site or activity to guide and why? My favorite sites to guide in Israel is my own community, Beit Yehoshua, Which was founded by my grandparents. This place is not just my home; it is my family’s story. Originally founded as a kibbutz during the British Mandate period, today it has evolved into a moshav/ cooperative. I take visitors on a personal historical journey of Zionism, sharing the transformation of our community and my life on our organic farm.

What’s your best tip for first time visit in Israel? First-timers in Israel should understand that direct and honest communication is the way Israelis manage respectful relationships. Israelis may come across as direct, but they are not rude; they value honesty and straightforwardness. They look you in the eye and say what they mean without unnecessary niceties. Understanding and appreciating this direct communication style is key to respecting and connecting with the people here.

Favorite Jewish/Israeli historical figure and why? Shifra Bucharis is a new hero of mine. As a mother of ten and an Orthodox commander in the Border Police, she exemplifies courage and dedication. On October 7th, she went above and beyond expectations, saving lives and fighting Hamas terrorists with unwavering determination. She is the beautiful face of Israel, especially as an Orthodox woman, showcasing the strength and resilience of Our people.
