 One of my favorite places to go with tourists is the desert. The awesomeness of the desert is something one can only experience by being in it. Silence without distractions is a rare commodity that the desert offers.

My tip for first-timers is to store away Western perceptions and come with an open mind and heart.

It’s difficult to find one historical figure. Putting my finger on one would be Rabbi Jonathan Sacks z”l Former chief Rabbi of Great Britain. Rabbi Sacks in his teaching has always been able to make people connect to their legacy and tradition and to redefine modern-secular Judaism. As a leader and scholar, Rabbi Sacks has been the voice of sanity and stability at very challenging moments in human history.
