Favorite site or activity to guide?

Nothing beats the thrill of guiding visitors through sea turtle hatching at sunset – imagine watching tiny hatchlings take their first brave steps toward the Mediterranean while learning about marine conservation in Israel. Talk about an unforgettable sunset…

My absolute favorite place to guide is Jerusalem’s Old City – a living tapestry where three religions intertwine within ancient stone walls. I love revealing how 3,000 years of history unfold as we explore its four quarters: from the bustling Arab souq to the reverent Jewish Quarter, from the winding paths of the Christian Quarter to the quieter Armenian neighborhood. Walking through underground tunnels along Herodian stones or ascending to rooftop vantage points, we witness how ancient and modern Jerusalem coexist while each quarter maintains its unique character. The way the Western Wall, Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and Dome of the Rock create this incredible mosaic of faith and history never fails to move my heart.

Best tip for first-time visitors?

Start with a vibrant market tour in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv, where you’ll  taste your way through Israel’s cultural mosaic, meeting passionate local vendors and discovering how Israeli cuisine tells the story of our nation’s diverse heritage. It’s the perfect way to understand modern Israel through all your senses!

Favorite historical figure?

As a guide who loves connecting people with Israel’s landscape and vision, I’m drawn to David Ben-Gurion – a leader who saw possibility where others saw desert. I love sharing his profound connection to the Negev with my guests, taking them to his humble desert home in Sde Boker where this mighty leader chose to retire, proving that his dream of making the desert bloom wasn’t just political rhetoric but a personal passion. Ben-Gurion’s practical idealism resonates deeply with how I love to show visitors both the ancient roots and vibrant future of this incredible land.
