I would recommend reading some books about Israel prior to your arrival. Books – not newspaper articles. Pick an area of Israel that interests you and just read.

Probably King Solomon because he composed the Song of Songs, lyrical poetry that has endured for thousands of years. And here we are, walking in his footsteps!
