Favorite site or activity to guide and why? I like Masada a lot. I’m a fan of literally getting in touch with history, landscapes, and the earth beneath our feet. Masada has it all, and then some. To understand a place you have to reach out and touch it.

What’s your best tip for a first time visit to Israel? My best tip would be: Just because it’s a small country, don’t assume a few days will suffice to explore it. If possible, stay for at least a week in order to get a chance at experiencing Israel’s many layers of history, culture, and landscapes. Other than that, keep an open mind!

Favorite Jewish/Israeli historical figure and why? To me, it is my father. A lover of the land and all its people who had to fight fiercely for a chance to one day live in peace, respectfully, alongside any person who wishes to do the same. A tour guide himself, he has been my best teacher. He is the best version of an Israeli in my (wholly biased) eyes.
