Favorite site or activity to guide and why? While guiding in Israel, one of my favorite activities is hiking in nature, and depending on the season, the desert during the spring or in northern Israel in the winter, especially along the Golan Heights all year round. It provides a bit of a pause from the complicated history, and gives one time to walk quietly, observe and just be.

What’s your best tip for first time visit in Israel? For a first time visitor to Israel, I really recommend reading some basic travel guides or history books. Also, while packing, Israel is super casual and the less you bring the happier you’re going to be.

Favorite Jewish/Israeli historical figure and why? One of my favorite Israeli historical figure is former Israeli Prime Minister, Golda Meir she was an extraordinary woman functioning at the highest level in a man’s world. She paved the way for other women around the world to lead, and verily shattered the glass ceiling.
