Favorite site or activity to guide and why? My favourite activity in Israel is going for a food tour at the Carmel Market in Tel Aviv. It is a combination of a traditional food market with all the influences of Tel Aviv as an international, vibrant, happy and open city. This market unfolds many stories of the city and Its people, alongside with a huge variety of street food from all over the world. It is both a tasty and colourful experience!
What’s your best tip for first time visit in Israel? Come with an open mind! Listen to the stories, feel the history – ancient and current, and be prepared for an unusually pleasant experience. We are not a Politically Correct people, so please feel free to ask any question, explore and enjoy!
Favorite Jewish/Israeli historical figure and why? Sir Moses Montefiore – the well known Jewish philanthropist. I appreciate his contribution to the expansion of Jerusalem outside of the walls of the Old City. He had a revolutionary vision to help Jews leaving the crowded city by “breaking out” of the existing walls. By doing so he created a new era in Jewish life and history in Jerusalem and contributed a lot to the expansion of the “New City”.
