Tough question to answer, every site has its juice. But if I must choose one favorite site, I would go for Old Jaffa, for Jaffa best embodies the Old and New concept. The thousands of years Old connection of the Jewish people to this land, and the brand new and modern creation that is the state of Israel. This concept, I feel, is at the basis of every issue one can delve into in Israel.

My tip for a first time visit in Israel: Say yes to every dish you’re offered.

Again, there are so many fascinating figures in our recent and more distant history. My choice would be Herzl. The way I perceive it, Herzl was a magician. He had a vision in his mind, one that was unimaginable at his time, and he was able to implement it in the minds of great many people and in a very short span. That’s magic.
