My favourite site to Guide is Zipori. The mosaics and stones tell us a story that can’t be found anywhere else but in this specific archaeological site. Practical and liberal Judaism at its best!

My best tip for first-time visitors is to talk with as many people as possible, the taxi driver, the waiter at the restaurant, the bellboy, and the common Joe on the street. Taking in the amazing diversity of this country.

Favorite Jewish/Israeli historical figure and why?

My favorite Jewish historical figure is definitely Maimonides. A true scholar who combined Jewish knowledge and the academy and brought to life a new kind of Jew. This hybrid way of thinking eventually created the world of Yeshiva University, modern orthodoxy, conservative, and even the reform movement. I believe he also set the ground for the creation of modern Zionism.
