My favorite activity in Israel is “Dig For a Day.” This unique experience allows you to explore the country’s rich history hands-on and be part of uncovering it. Getting dirty in 2,000-year-old dust and discovering real artifacts such as pottery, coins, bones, and more is incredibly joyful. It’s always a lot of fun for kids, adults, and families alike.
Make sure to set aside some time to just wander around the streets of Tel Aviv, enjoy a cup of coffee or a fresh juice, chat with local Israelis and eat some of the local food.
My favorite Jewish historical figure is Herzl. It takes a lot of courage and faith to dream about a Jewish state and say it out loud, but it takes even more to believe in it and make it happen. Thanks to him, many people came together, shared the dream, and helped make the idea of a Jewish state a reality.
