Ariel

Favorite site or activity to guide and why? My favorite site as tour guide is the observation point at the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem because you can see and feel 3000 years of history passing through the stone corners of empires and cultures, faith and civilization. It is a magical place where you can easily imagine how the place looked through the different chapters of human history. As special activity, I love the Red Canyon in the Eilat Mountains, a beautiful hiking trail and a paradise with a wealth of amazing photographic opportunities!

What’s your best tip for first time visit in Israel? My best tip for the first time visitor to Israel is first of all being aware of the weather conditions especially if you’re coming in the summer; to bring suitable shoes and clothes according to the itinerary, and to understand the differences in activity days on Fridays and Saturdays due to the Sabbath. Be prepared for an amazing and unique country with a diverse mosaic of characters, faces and tastes.

Favorite Jewish/Israeli historical figure and why? My favorite Israeli historical figure is the first Prime Minister of the State of Israel David Ben Gurion who had the courage and the vision during the period of the establishment of the State in extremely difficult conditions. He had the strength required to take painful decisions. He was also known for his great modesty in his personal life.
